Peter D. Gehres, Auctioneer began his auction career in 2003 as an apprentice auctioneer and ringman for Mike Brandly, Auctioneer in Groveport, Ohio. Calls at first auction on November 22, 2003
Peter participates in the first Goodwill Columbus Auto Auction in Columbus, Ohio.

2005
Peter passed Ohio written and oral auctioneering exam and became a listened auctioneer in Ohio in January 2005.
Peter joined the National Auctioneers Association in February 2005.

2006
In January 2006 Peter won Ohio’s Junior Bid Calling Championship in Dublin, Ohio at the Ohio Auctioneers Association’s Winter Convention. Picture (L to R) Peter Gehres and Paige (Wildasin) Gehres
Peter graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture in June 2006 and began work full time as an auctioneer and appraiser in Ohio.
Joined the regular faulty of The Ohio Auction School in October 2006.
Peter attended the National Auctioneers Association’s Certified Estate Specialist (CES) designation course in November of 2006 and earned his CES designation. At that course he met David Helmer and began planning what would eventual become, The Super Auction.
2007
In January of 2007 Peter joined Belhorn Auction Services of Columbus, Ohio and began assisting Greg Belhorn with auctions of American Art Pottery, coins, stamps and other collections of antiques.
Peter competed in the Michigan Bid Calling Championship in Lansing, Michigan in January 2007
Peter began NAA’s Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) in March of 2007. CAI is a week long program each year and requires three years to complete and is the highest earned designation in the auction profession.
Peter attended the National Auctioneers Association’s Benefit Auction Specialist (BAS) designation course, April 2007.
Peter passed his real estate salesperson exam after completing the course of study at Hondros College course in Real Estate in April 2007. Peter joined the Brown Company Real Estate.
Peter competed in the Ohio Bid Calling Contest at The Ohio State Fair in August 2007
2008

Peter elected as President of the Hilliard Toastmasters.
Peter competed in the Michigan Bid Calling Championship in Bay City, Michigan in January 2008
Peter assists Greg Belhorn and Belhorn Auction Service, LLC in conducting the American Art Pottery Association annual art pottery. The auction was conducted in Lambertville, New Jersey at Rago Arts and Auction Center in April 2008. Pictured

Joins the National Speakers Association’s (NSA) Ohio Chapter as an apprentice and begins career as a Professional Speaker in September 2008.
2009
Presents first speech to the Michigan State Auctioneers Association’s Winter Convention in Dearborn, Michigan in January 2009.
Peter competed in the Michigan Auctioneers Championship in Dearborn, Michigan in January 2009.
Became a licensed auctioneer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in February 2009
The first Super Auction was conducted in February 2009.
Peter earned his CAI designation and received the Pat Massart Leadership Award in March 2009 in Bloomington, Indiana on the campus of Indiana University.
Peter competed in his first International Auctioneer Championship (IAC) in July 2009 at the 60th NAA Conference and Show in Overland Park, Kansas. Pictured

2010
Peter presented seminars on Social Media and Selling Art Pottery at Auction to the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association’s 60th Annual Convention in Duluth, Minnesota in January 2010.
Peter was named the 2010 Michigan Auctioneer (Bid Calling) Champion in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the Michigan State Auctioneers Association Winter Convention on January 27, 2010. 2009 Michigan Auction of the Year Marketing award presented to Peter at the Michigan State Auctioneers Association Winter Convention on January 27, 2010.
Peter was elected to the Michigan State Auctioneers Association Board of Directors in January 2010 for a term expiring January 2012.
Peter joined Gryphon Asset Advisors and United Country Gryphon Realty & Auction Group and began assisting Rich Kruse with real estate and commercial auctions in February 2010.
Peter spoke on Strategic Leadership to the auctioneers at the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana in March 2010.
Peter presented a review of online auctioneering and future trends to the Indiana Auctioneers Association (IAA) District 2 meeting in Shipshewana, Indiana in April, 2010. The meeting was one of the largest district gatherings of the IAA.
Toastmasters International’s District 40 presented Peter and his presentation on Communication Lessons from the Auctioneer in Cincinnati, Ohio in May 2010.
Peter was appointed Vice-Chairperson of the National Auctioneers Association’s CAI Recruitment Committee in May 2010.
Peter competed in the 2010 World Automobile Auctioneer Championship held at the Akron Auto Auction in Akron, Ohio in May 2010.
Peter was a finalist (13th Place overall) of the Men’s Division of the 2010 International Auctioneer Championship (IAC). The contest featured 58 contestants from 29 states and Ireland in Greensboro, North Carolina, July 2010 as part of the 61st NAA Conference and Show. At the Conference Peter also presented Facebook for Auctioneers.
